FELINE NUTRITION
With all the hype encountered in today's world concerning feline nutrition,
a consumer can easily become confused by a manufacturer's claim that their particular cat food is the best money can buy.
Having owned many cats in my lifetime, I always read the ingredients on packages and
purchased what I considered the best food on the market was at any given time.
Well, to make a long story short, I was wrong in my choices and
by beginning a page on Sasha's site, dedicated solely to Feline Nutrition,
I hope not only to make more cat owners aware of the dangers of feeding popular dry kibble brands,
and the claims made regarding "Special", "Veterinarian" or "Prescription Only" diets,
I hope to honour Sasha's entirely too brief 5 years in some small way
by helping other cat owners make informed decisions regarding food choices for their healthy or sick cats.
I would like to start this page with a paper I came across by Lisa A. Pierson, DVM, after Sasha had already passed.
It may have helped Sasha, but that we will never know, but it may help others and my new kitties down the road.
